Murder Mali

So yesterday was interesting:

I got picked up in a pt... {party} {bibiki Bay}?
so i figured what the hell and promptly went out to the bay... got out there and got right into the fight with only 200 mp, the fights were impressivly well articulated, smooth, with knocking down chain 7's no problem... but the talk of the expansion area lead us to wonder if we would be better fighting mirids... so after the pld lvld we all hightailed it to artablahblah. Besieged had started and a few members got locked inside, the rest of use were locked out on account of the area being so full. o'l so after that our whm dc'd... so we were forced to pick up Mali...

A few changes i made

Firstly i changed the date on maiors promy post... this will keep smaller posts like this one for instance from bumping it off the front page, i demoted golagres's one post per his request, i added a new poll i hope everyone can take the time to fill out, and i deleted the Book "I'm going Japanese" instead this will be replaced in the near future with a comprehensive guide for crafting... at that time crafting for dummies v 1.0 will be removed from the section "Tradeskill Recipe Book"

-thx milo

just to update

I'm sorry i haven't been on much lately i started working for the summer. But after school is over i might be back on more regularly.

This weekend: I will only be on MOnday... probly all day monday getting 65 and hopefully 66. Not only to start fighting Maat but also to get out of this leveling slump and meet the last requirment for maiors end game LS. I realized that i may be the highest BLM in our LS which places great responsibility on certain tasks. As i have stated before BLM are more or less the Marines in FFXI, and are highly prized end game. So i'll try to hit 75 within 3 months. no garentees.

2 fold post

this is kinduv a double purpous post.

Firstly-> I need to run a few things past Sam, but there is a possibility that i might start a monthly garrison, this well be set up as a static date, thus giving the windy folks such as sam the ability to also place runs, as our bastok runs usually are lack luster themselves... once i figure a few things out i'll post a finalized publication... leave your comment on wether this is somthing you might be interested in. Note do to the max trades per OP per day, i'm willing to incorperate lower and upper Garrisons in the future. More on this later.

Secondly-> Is more or less an offer to serious crafters. Preperations have been underway for about a year now, and things are starting to fall into place. I will open an all crafter LS, of course since there is no garenteed way to prove ppl are serious the requirement will be the guild apron as proof of your dedication. Please note this is a seperate LS group, and to my knowledge will be the first of its kind. This is not to detract from clanAM in the least bit. In fact this will provide more opertunity to Clan members who need acess to crafters for higher lvl goods. This is not a newb crafting support shell, this well be run more or less like a global board operation. If you are interested in these please leave your comments below as well. If you have questions concerning crafting let me know. I plan to post a publication on crafting more complete than previously. lol so keep your eyes peeled for that too.

How to MPK: a quick guide by milo.

Well well, MPK... we all have the words uttered before. I myself have gotten so enraged that i have MPK'd ppl before. like Jessey Ventura said in Predator "Some ppl just need killin'!" However the goal of FFXI was to be a co-op game not a p.v.p one. Fair enough it makes it stand out from other mmo's on the market. However have you ever become so perturbed with ppl that you just wanted them gone for at least 5 min? For only 50k down and 50k a month i'll tell you my secrets to getting away with murder.. my boxed set includes.

"Mother i unleashed spike on the mail man."
In here you will the learn the art of our state of the art catch and release program. Charming mobs, using the time honored tradition of releasing your pet to link up with your enemies target. Great for late night fun with Brenda the streetwalker from your local 7-11. Watch as they yell cries of murder and in fits of pain.

IMPS ATE MY FACE!

As you all may know the new expansion areas contain some new foes... One of these little buggers is the Imp family. Thes littl winged demons may look cute and all but be advised they shouldn't be taken lightly.

How to identify an imp:
is it purple, flapping about, look like a sufficated baby with wings? Is it eating your face? chances are its an imp.

How to avoid an imp:
the best way to avoid an imp is to walk behind them, these mobs are true-sight, which means they can see through magical effects that render you invisible... to explain more clearly they have like a way to see heat patterns as opposed to typical human deffinition of sight. There are also rumors stating that these things agro the magical "aura" produced by sneak and other buffs... this is false. However i have not checked to see if they aggro magic casting like elementals and dolls do. This would not suprise me in the least.

HOSTEL

What is hostel?
I can only assume that it is cross between the words hospitality and hotel.
The hostel is an area of psuedo soundproffing to hang out and relax or hold meetings of the super secret kind. A player books the hostel in advance for a one hour time slot, in much the same way a private ballista field is rented. Upon arival at the designated time can set the entry password, as well as a few other options???

What can i expect?
After entering the password and paying a small few under 500 gil, you are soon greeted by four femme-fatales... no wories none of them were of the short variety. ^^ A box shaped room awaits you and your groupies.

A Thought on Blue Mage tactics....

Ok so the plan is to go get the expansion tonight... ne who

At the bottome you can find the spell listing for personal referance.

I for a long time have been a praponate of mob stunning, however in my experiance most ppl on phoenix are not. the don't stun at appropriate times, or at all. In a typical cookie cutter party you have 3 mages, and 3 melee. only 2 can form a SC(well, you can build tier ones off of tier ones, i do this too). It long been my conclusion that the solo sc'r should stun mob tp attacks such as Bomb toss... please note that each weapon does get a stun cappacity its learned at different lvls... However this is not my point. Blue mage can become an effective STUN machine. They have access to the following "Spells" to preform stun. -> LV 12 Head Butt, LV 44 Blitzstrahl, LV 63 Fry Pan, LV 69 Tail Slap... i think some other ones do stun but in accordance with the list below i haven't included any without stun in there discription. Blue can also Sap TP... with Jettatura and Light of Penance... Mobs will soon find themselves with no tp. Besides the fact that a great deal of TP attacks preform Knock back, which will interrupt spell casters casting. ok so this is one possibility.

Blue Mage Spells

Ok so this might be some blind statments because i have yet to find the expansion in ne store other than the PS2 version...sigh.

Well i did notice that a vast majority of blue mages are working together or have a powerlvler present in order to gain access to the new spells...This seems to be fundimental flawed... for reasons that will soon become clear.

Now it is to my understanding that many ppl are having difficulty with the rate at which they learn each spell... fair enough. But before you go and make out ragouse claims like moon phase effecting this rate, lets think about this logically....
