Well, as some of you may already know, I'm currently encountering some problems that are preventing me from getting online in the game.
There is currently a nasty bug that Squeenix isn't actually acknowledging is a bug yet, but which is preventing me from logging into my account.
For those who are curious, I've actually taken a video of what this bug looks like, as well as video of some tests done to verify the problem was related to the FFXI software and NOT my network connection.

Anyway, as soon as this problem is resolved, I should be back in the game.... unless, of course, it takes them months and months to fix it. I'm not sure I want to pay for a service I can't access for several months :-(
about the 3113 error
well i am not sure if you are on Xbox or PC but if you are on PC make sure you have the Microsoft Network Protocol installed to do this do the following:
1. Open Network in Control Panel and select "Add."
2. From Network Components, select "Client" and then "Add."
3. From Network Client, select "Manufacturer: Microsoft" and "Network Client: Microsoft Network Client" and select "OK" to start installing.
4. Restart your PC and run FINAL FANTASY XI.
again i only know of this error about PC's dunno if you on Xbox or not.
