COP : Yes Please
I believe there are 2-3 people on mission 4-3 or 5-2. These people need to lite a fire and get a move on. Therefore, once I find out who these few individuals, we are gonna start with whatever mission they are on and catch them up quick.
Honestly I would like to get these people on 5-3 by the weekend. I have no problem with shouting and taking pick up parties.
It is imperative that that everyone be responsible for their own COP CS progression as not having CS's done will not allow u to move on with everyone else and result in maybe being left behind.
Just go on FFXIcyclopedia and read what u have to do for the mission to ensure that ALL CS's are done.
I would like Sea and Limbus and i plan on progressing in COP. Anyone who is far enough in COP is welcome to join.
People who will help or who have helped in the past:
DL
Tam
Cyc
Avatarx
Maior
Darkkit
Talk to me in-game, as posting here will slow down DL's active thinking patterns and may result in severe lag.
CoP
CoP
I have inquired about, regarding possible ClanAM "end-game" activities, and Limbus comes up as a topic. With that in mind I do not mind doing something CoP (Vahzl, three-paths, etc.) two or three times as long as there are numerous ClanAM in the CoP party. I just want to get several ClanAM through CoP. I don't mind some non-Clan folks in a given party either but let us get ClanAM to Limbus.
Some folks do not play that much. MrNewby and Natashab tend to only be online at 9:30pm Eastern on Friday and Saturday nights. So I don't know if you want to schedule one CoP Mission a week for Friday and Saturday nights, or no. This Mission would be in addition to doing other CoP Missions in the week. People who sign online more frequently would of course move faster through CoP.
Anyway I am WHM 70/ SMN 35 and have equipments for all the level caps. I have not finished CoP. I suppose doing CoP now is just time and gil cost since there is no Experience loss when you lose a CoP Mission.
Send me a message for a CoP Mission night and I will try to free up that night. If we can get enough interest maybe we can do a CoP Mission Saturday Mornings at 11am Eastern. I don't know why such an odd time works but it seems some are willing to play FFXI then =^_^=
I'm in
I'm willing to help out, as long as we know in advance of a potential mission run.
Just a few points:
1) Do your homework:
Don't expect those that have done a mission to hold your hand. It's important that everyone come prepared to these missions, and while there isn't an experience points penalty for MOST missions, there is a substantial time commitment involved - help those that are helping you.
2) Make sure you have completed your CSes (DL's earlier point).
Speak to an NPC several times and make sure you have the CS completed PRIOR to doing the mission.
3) Planning on fighting the Bugbear in CoP 5-3?
Then don't do any ENMs in Mine Shaft #2716 that week!!
4) Farm your items:
Need mistmelts? Get your arse over to Riv-Site #A01 or #B01 with a friend. Need Anima? Go to a promy and farm it... IN ADVANCE!!
5) All of my parties from the Snoll to the end of CoP were pick-ups; don't discount them.
Cut-Scenes
All this talk about Cut-Scenes is because Square Enix got lazy and stacks them up on some NPC's, so in CoP you go to talk to Carbuncle about out-of-line Avatars or some such in CoP. Well Carbuncle loves to talk about misbehaving Avatars, so if you are ready in FFXI Carbuncle will give you a non-CoP Quest before he gives you the CoP Quest. It will take you by surprise, too, because it is likely you will have talked to Carbuncle before about being SMN and thought that he has said all that he has to say; no, Carbuncle will unlock at various times and you will not know it, he has multiple FFXI quests and you need the CoP one.
When you go to talk to Carbuncle about CoP talk to his ??? several times and you will likely get two quests activated. When you go to talk to Cid talk to him several times, etc. etc. Cid in the Metal Works is another to watch out for because he has all kinds of quests associated with him.
For CoP Three Paths there is a lot of traveling, including out into Bibiki Bay. So Cyclonus and Dragonlance are telling you to go to
wiki.ffxiclopedia.org
and read up on the CoP Missions in depth. There is frequently a LOT of solo work in CoP before a Mission. Don't expect a Dragonlance or a Cyclonus to run around with you while you perform your solo CoP activities.
If you are a
If you are a summoner...
Carbuncle will give you this quest
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Waking_the_Beast
in a cut-scene before he will give you the CoP CS. Click on Carbuncle's ??? again to get the CoP Mission CS.
And you will not know you have unlocked the Waking the Beast quest either, just keep clicking until Carbuncle gets bored with you =^_^=
