Here in i propose the addition of new spikes to FFXI.
For those unfamiliar with black mage spell, they recieve 3 spikes each elemental based, blaze, ice and shock. Ok so maybe you knew that already, but did you know that ice and shock have additional effects? Yepp, ice spikes inflict paralyze, and shock inflict stun. I tend to use ice spikes because paralyze seems to stick better, and also seems to build up in the character, rather than being requied to be hit each round in order to possible stun the target. Well here's my idea. (its only fair seeing as how RDM's get en's of all elements, except dark and light, but those exist too)
Blaze spikes- (already exists, no enfeeble attached)
Ice Spikes - (Already exists, add Paralyze)
Shock Spikes - (Already exists, add Stun)
Aqua Spikes - (lvl 40, water based, add poison)
Gale Spikes - (lvl 50, Wind based, add silence)
Tremor Spikes - (lvl 60, Earth based, add slow)
Noctern spikes - (lvl 70, Dark based, add blind or gravity)
Holy spikes - (lvl 70 WHM ONLY, Light based, add dia and holy damg to undead)

I was actually unaware that there were enfeebles with ice and shock spikes... i think i will definately be using those spells more often when I can get them
